Mark your October calendar and get ready for the best plan Madrid has to offer that month.
In 2024, Dua Lipa had you repeating the name over and over. In 2025, LETSGO brings it back to you like never before: with story, emotion, and —of course— great illusions.
Starting in October, the curtain at Teatro Calderón will rise to unveil Houdini: A Magical Musical, a production promising the very first true fusion of large-scale magic and musical theater in Spain.
But beware, this isn’t just a show to watch and applaud. You’ll leave feeling that something inside you has shifted. Houdini, the man behind the spectacle, will challenge your priorities, your fears, and your obsessions through his own story.
I think people will leave feeling two things: great surprise and, emotionally, they might think more about their loved ones. The most important thing isn’t to be first in everything or to make more money; it’s far more important to have someone by your side who loves you and with whom you can share life.” (F. Bellone, personal communication, June 5th, 2025)
That’s how Federico Bellone, artistic director of the musical (The Phantom of the Opera, Ghost, Mary Poppins, and many more), sums up the complexity of a character torn between his brilliant, methodical side and his deepest contradictions. Houdini will not only impress you with its spectacular staging but also reveal something about yourself. Every detail of this production is designed so you can witness a legend in action, but, above all, meet the human behind the myth.
To turn that human contradiction into living spectacle, a production worthy of the myth was needed. LETSGO does just that once again, now partnering with beon.Entertainment, bringing you the only experience that merges grand illusions with musical theater.
Houdini finally lands in Madrid after its acclaimed premiere in Italy and it comes with surprises —we know you hate to wait, but we can’t reveal everything just yet. We can only promise that you’ll be fully immersed in Houdini’s world the moment you step into the theater…
Adding to the anticipation, the show features a top-tier international creative team. The original music is composed by Giovanni Maria Lori, who has worked with Broadway’s leading musical directors —Ted Sperling, Patrick Vacciarello, and Mark Hummel, among others— blending classical theatrical music with Houdini’s Hungarian roots.
What’s best? The stage spectacle that makes it all possible:
- More than twenty grand illusions performed live.
- Effects never before seen on stage.
- And yes… an elephant making an appearance on stage!
