This musical is inspired by the extraordinary story written by Roald Dahl, which was made into a film in “A World of Fantasy” by director Mel Stuart in 1971. With songs by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newle, and later, in a second adaptation directed by Tim Burton in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in 2005, starring Johnny Depp.
